We went to NYC this summer.  Grandma Martha, M and I.  While there, we had the chance to go to the Manhattan Children's Muesum, which just happened to have Dora and Diego as their special exhibit.  She couldn't help but dance with Dora!

Early summer we went out to Grand Haven Marina for a little R and R.  Boy was it cold that day.  But the pool was heated!
Another Cubs game at the start of summer.  M loves her Cubs...and her fries!
Is this what 16 will look like?!

I have to apologize for neglecting our blog for almost a year. Needless to say, I have no one else to blame but myself. However, in my defense, I have been extremely busy!

As I look back since my last update, it is hard to believe how much Marissa has changed. She is not the little girl that is captured in her last photographs. She has really grown up and unfortunately is not my baby anymore (well...she will always be my baby). She is in constant motion, sassy and extremely bright. I find difficulty in remembering all the changes she has been through in the past year. Another reason I should be keeping up with our blog.

I have posted numerous pictures over the last year, in hopes to capture our 2008. As many of you know, I have started my own photography business. Photography has become my life and in many ways now, from now on, our life will be told in photographs and perhaps not in so many words. The beauty of photography...."A picture says a thousand words." Please do not lose faith in my ability to keep up with our blog. I know many of you count on it to watch Marissa grow up. For that reason, I am sorry that I have failed you. She has grown up so fast. I don't want you to miss a moment either! :) Love and Hugs to you all.
P.S. Happy 2009. Hoping the start has been nothing but a blessing from God each day!
